Notice Trump says: "I've raised a lot of money for the next race." Think about it:
a man wanting to become a dictator would not be talking about "the next race."
Trump put forward that rhetorical "Am I allowed to run again?" question in jest aimed at those who declared that he is "a threat to Democracy." One such comment came from Oprah the day before the election at a campaign rally for Harris. Check out Oprah's comments in this one-minute YouTube Video.
Oprah's fearmongering is shameful and ultimately was ineffective. Did she expect voters would believe that if Trump got elected there will be no mid-term elections in 2026, no presidential election in 2028, and that we'd never have an opportunity to vote again? Really? Attempting to put that level of fear into the hearts of good people is inexcusable.
- Well, surprise, surprise. Trump wins the election. I wish someone in
the media would stick a camera and microphone in Oprah's face and ask if she
stands by her concern for no more elections -- but no one will.
As for Trump, the only way he could serve a 3rd term is for the 22nd Amendment to be repealed, which would require ratification by 2/3 of the states. I don't see that happening nor have I heard of any effort to do so.
Pay no heed to the doomsayers who warn the Orange Godzilla will attempt a political coup to stay in office. Not to worry. He will serve his four years and ride off into the political sunset. I guarantee it.
