Wear a Mask -- Or Not
October, 2021
- I can't figure out what the rules are -- or rather, they seem rather arbitrary,
constantly change and are unevenly applied.
- I must admit, I find some rules frustrating. E.g., where I work,
those who go into the office are now required to wear masks whether vaccinated
or not. Huh? I thought the idea of being vaccinated meant I was, well, vaccinated.
I guess not.
- Perhaps it's time to start providing proof of vaccinations for, and using extra
precautions against, measles, mumps, chickenpox, rubella, hepatitis, diphtheria,
whooping cough, polio, pneumococcal, rotavirus -- did I miss any?
- Another concern is that there are times when there is one set of rules
for us commoners -- and another set for the privileged classes.
Apparently, it's okay for the ruling and celebrity classes to go maskless --
even when it's not okay for you. Don't worry, though. "The germs know who
the good people are",
said Bill Maher sarcastically.

- AOC at the Met Gala in her "TAX the RICH" dress, literally rubbing elbows with ... the rich ...
whom she has demonized.
- A ticket for the invite-only Gala was $30 thousand -- ¡Ay, caramba! -- unless
you're AOC. She claims her attendance was free of charge. Must be nice.
- It gets better. The designer of the dress, Aurora James (standing next to AOC),
is both rich and apparently has not paid her fair share of taxes as she
reportedly owes over $100 thousand in back taxes.
- Imagine the irony of creating a "TAX the RICH" dress for a woke politician knowing
you owe a small fortune in taxes and have AOC and the entire tax-the-rich crowd
look the other way.
- You can't make this stuff up.
At the Met Gala, if you are a woke politician or celebrity,
you don't have to wear a mask -- but if you're a member of the servant class or photographer,
then you must wear a mask. The optics here are priceless.
If you go to my local grocery store and are fully vaccinated, no mask required
but if you walk out of the store and get on a bus, a mask is required, vaccinated or not.
Greg Gutfeld calls what we see
in this 47-second video
"theatre and virtue signaling" and indeed, it is. Here, we see a DOJ representative
about to hold a press conference. Offstage, he puts his mask on, walks out to give
the appearance he's been wearing his mask and then removes it. As I timed it, he
wears the mask for about seven seconds. I guess image is everything -- until someone
with a camera not fixed on the podium captures the entire event -- oops.
Most of us have probably seen other government officials, including President Biden,
similarly approach a podium donning a mask. I presume they also
- put the mask on just before stepping in front of the camera
- remove it to speak to the American people
- put the mask back on to exit
- and remove it once out of the camera's view.
Certainly, in the case of the DOJ official, he was being intentionally deceptive.
The question is, why? Was he attempting to cover his posterior to give the appearance
he was following some mask protocol? Regardless of his reason, I suspect this behavior
is commonplace.
If
you travel on an airplane,
you must wear a mask
or be escorted off
but if you're a democrat legislator fleeing TX to DC to avoid a particular vote,
it's okay to charter a plane, fly maskless and voluntarily flaunt your maskless, happy faces
on Twitter.

This in-your-face photo just drips with arrogance. Yes, these democrats did wind up
spreading COVID
-- and we thought only republicans did that. Once again, the ruling class has
privileges you don't. They obviously had no clue how documenting their little
adventure for all the world to see was going to make them look. Take a good look
at these two pictures. Pointing out the double standard and hypocrisy is just too easy.
If you go to a Nascar race or a church service and are unmasked, you're a
knuckle-dragging, right-wing, conservative idiot who's endangering everyone else
by not following the science -- BUT -- if you attended Obama's birthday bash in his
exclusive, $12-million-dollar
estate in Martha's Vineyard,
you got a pass. Talk about a "super-spreader event",
here you go. I looked through this photograph of people jammed together like
sardines in a can and did not see a mask -- not one -- not even Obama. Okay for
them
to go maskless -- not okay for
you.
