I don't have dates for when these pictures were taken.
So, it's impossible to know at which stage of decay they are.
Regardless of the reasons this theatre closed, was abandoned
and left to ruin, it is sad to see such a once beautiful
building and vibrant entertainment center go to waste.

The Auditorium
In its final years, the Mayfair was used as a movie theatre.
The Balcony
Remnants of the curtains lasted as long as the stage area.
About 17 years after the roof collapsed, this is all that was left of the seating.
A chandelier was among the last to go.
The good news is, according to Wikipedia, there is a plan in place to redevelop the area "into office, retail and living space". I don't know if the plan includes the preservation/restoration of the Mayfair Theatre's facade.
