Capitol Barrier

• President Biden recently said that the wall at the U.S./Mexico border is “a waste of money” and “not a serious policy solution.” Care to guess what now surrounds the U.S. Capitol? Yep, you guessed it -- a wall. Not just any wall:
  • an unscalable, 7-foot fence complete with razor wire (isnt' that inhumane?), and checkpoints with armed guards. Biden might not realize this is some serious border security but I assure you it is.
  • Care to guess what's required to enter? ID. That's right -- you have to prove you belong there. Isn't that a Trumpism?
  • Speaking of Trump, he could only have dreamed of border security this tight.
  • Did Trump build this wall? No.
  • Republicans then. Nope.
  • It was democrats -- implementing another Trumpism -- a border wall. That's right. Democrats have now become republicans when it comes to border security. Say it isn't so!
  • The D.C. Capitol Police had this put in place. That means the D.C. government (run by democrats for the past 60 years) had to approve.
  
  
• To be consistent, President Biden and Speaker Pelosi should have pressured D.C.'s mayor not to install this barrier -- but no -- not a peep. It's safe to assume they approve of these security measures. Given recent events, I would. Wouldn't you? This is a classic case of:
  • Do as I say -- not as I do.
    
  • OK for me -- not OK for you.
  
  
• To spell it out -- it's perfectly fine for Pelosi to have border security when her castle gets stormed -- but 2000 miles away in El Paso where their border was being overrun? Pelosi couldn't concern herself since she doesn't suffer from the fallout. Out of sight, out of mind -- but things look very differently when invasion is too close for comfort and suddenly it's your ox that's getting gored. The hypocrisy is just too easy to point out.
  
  
• A guard approaches a woman (who appears to be wearing a red coat and hat) entering a checkpoint and checks her ID. You don't get into Pelosiville without going through these guys first.

who now works behind this expensive, unwise and immoral wall.
You can't make this stuff up.
Someone needs to tell the Speaker to look out the window.
She might want to revise and extend her remarks.
What we see here is what happens when liberalism and reality collide.
